Well, I don't think Nintendo will fund this. They just don't need to do it, and it seems to me they only do what they find necessary to strengthen their position.

Sony might be interested in having Shenmue 3 as an exclusive, but I don't think they're willing to pay for this kind of risky project.

This leaves us with... Microsoft. They've got the money, it's a project that shows their good will towards the Japanese market and the million or so that bought the original titles... they could easily launch Shenmue 2 on XBLA... I wouldn't be surprised with an E3 announcement. I would actually be crying tears of joy.

I'll buy which ever console Shenmue III come out on, I don't want to see I and II re-released, if you want to play them, then get a DC.

My bet is on 360, Q4 2011.

360 is most likely indeed.... which would cause me to buy a console for a single, specific game for the first time in my life. Hmm... ;)

I loved Shenmue I / II to death. I would love to see a 3rd Shenmue, but from a business point of view, it might be a commercial failure.

Hopefully either 360 or ps3.

Shenmue was basically the best looking game ever on consoles when it came out on Dreamcast.

I would like it to come out on 360 since I that's the über graphics console that I have and considering the attention to detail in the fist games, it would be the best looking game evar!

But I would also like it on Wii. I mean, with the original games, my impression was "THEY DID THIS ON DREAMCAST!?!?!?!?!" It would be nice to have a graphic powerhouse game that will make people go "THIS IS A WII GAME!?!?!?!?!?!?"
