Don't worry about girls too much, uni is so different from high school socially that you can sort that out when you're there. Also (at least at my univeristy) there are a hell of a lot of parties organised by the societies in which you only have to be a member to go, so just join up to a couple and have a good time.

Good luck getting into uni though.

@Kamal. You can be a Muslim and still party, in fact one of the biggest party animals I know is a Muslim and was 100% sober at all of them.

Seems so long ago my high school and college years... thank you for making me feel old...

Anyway Snake.. just work hard, stay true to yourself and treat people how you would like them to treat you.. good things will happen.. even if it takes a while..

I sort of went through the same thing,  resolved after 8th grade to do a total self-rejuvanation: get a tan, work out a bit, change my hair-style, the whole bit. The only thing i ended up doing was switching to boxers and getting contacts instead of glasses (though i've quite enjoyed both of those changes)

The girlfriend issue isn't one to stress about. If you try and force yourself into a relationship, you're just going to find yourself doing a helluva lot of work for little to no tangible benefit. Dating is of course quite distinct, something you can do more easily for fun, but i'm not the one to really go to for advice (i'm actually in the same boat as you, two years out of high-school), i'm just going off of observation.
