WHEN SNAKE WAS REPLACED BY RAIDEN IN MGS2!!!!!!!!!
no idea how to make this properly work
Anything that involves (implausibly) selective amnesia and its incredibly convenient removal.
Every time you end up juggling Idiot Balls to cover a badly written plot point. Ie. The ending of Fallout 3, and every single time you end up giving the keys to armageddon for the main villain because he captured your grandmothers sisters kittens or something. Aeris's infamous death scene in FF7 also counts as one, when compared to a similar scene in FF5.
Just about everything "The power of friendship is stronger than God" - related, as well.

The first was not half the game. I actually quite liked that twist, though I am basically incapable of insulting Uncharted 2
Heihachi Mishima is dead, not!
Why is that slogan for Tekken 5 when it's not true?

Pretty much any Metal Gear game after MGS1 is guilty of at least one stupid plot twist. MGS2 and MGS4 are (however) the absolute masters of the craft (of stupid plot twists).
Disclaimer: I own and enjoy all MGS games, and MG on the NES. MGS1 was the pinnacle of the series, but I enjoy them all... even if they have wonky plots.

I can understand why you think MGS4 had stupid plot twists but you have to admit, MGS2's plot twist was very philosophical and intelligent.

Those are the characters you invest your time in improving.
They also may play the double double agent, Zelo's Wilder

Well, MGS2 was good in terms of the "its all a simulation (or driven by simulation in this case)" and the "Matrix-esque" realization of life not being what it seems - very Platonist (alegory of the cave). I myself happen to be a Platonist, so I can appreciate that. On the other hand, the SoL/Patriots thing has been done much better - check out the Illuminatist Trilogy.
We both agree on MGS4, so nothing to say there.
I must admit that the "Colonal" going haywire at the end of MGS2 was a classic and funny WTF moment - dialogue... priceless.
