I just purchased GOTY Edition of LBP last week. So far I like the game. It's fun, cute, and challenging.

Its called platinum titles and this has been a practice since the early days of the PS2 with Sony's titles. And its a good thing, I still shudder at the thought of paying 850 NOK for Ocarina of Time well over a decade ago a couple of years after the game launched.

Does this also mean we should disregard console hardware sales as soon as they start dropping the prices? I mean, the PS3 has halved its price since launch and one can hardly say that the sales count any more at this point.

Still a flop in anybody's eyes? Sorry, only idiots think of LBP as something short of a very special contribution to gaming history.

So it has sold what pretty much every sane unbiased individual expected it would given the critical acclaim? Rather sad posting what the extreme fans estimated in here to stir things up guys, it happens for all exclusive games that some people unrealisticaly hype expectations.

Very well done to LBP. Great game, I've played the hell out of it with my cousins and I plan to pick up the GOTY version.

Oh and it will go on to sell more than 5 million.

Ditto. And it went down to less than half price right after Christmas 2008. In UK too I heard our English friends say here on VGC.

Plus it's been bundled.
