7-8 years old child are NOT the target of this game

it is an online game that is not really targetting the mainstream/casual crowd ....

wiifit = offline
mario kart = offline
wii sport = offline
smash bros = offline

ONLINE = / = CASUAL

Weird the first thing i thought when i was playing was the controls were crisp, tight and very intuitive. I just hope they allow for camera angle changes.

Good thing you and your superhero videogame family got into the beta since your impressions are able to condemn the game on a global basis.

"Why i wont be getting mod nation racers" (still awfully silly base don 24 hours of beta)
"My main problem with modnation racers" (pretty good)
"Why modnation racers differs from LBP for me" (pretty good)
"What worries me about modnation racers thus far" (probably the best)

All of the aforementioned thread titles would probably be a wee bit better.

i have one question that i ask in most threads where someone complains about a beta version:

"Have you told the dev about the problems that you experienced with the game?"

that would be the purpose of a beta, would it not?

interesting enough, i never got an answer

I'm surprised anybody could think the controls are bad because my reaction was just the opposite.

First, I thought the controls were responsive and solid. Nothing feels floaty. In addition, it felt like I could turn in tight situations without necessarily using drift. Second, there’s this neat bump mechanism. So let’s say I’m going over rough terrain, the screen will oscillate up and down very fast creating this feeling of ruggedness. I think it has been implement extraordinarily well and adds to the overall gameplay.

In regards to drift, I think it’s pretty good as is… I guess it could use some small tweaks but nothing major. Just because something takes 5 minutes to get use to doesn’t mean it’s bad or will fail.

And OP, don’t make ridiculous thread titles like “it’s gonna fail!!!” It’s just too overly negative and on a BETA nonetheless…



I beat link's adventure, that's zelda 2, dragon warrior and final fantasy 2 when I was 6 and 7 years old. Don't give me this crap about drifting is too hard. Little kids can play video games just fine, no matter what the game is. It doesn't rely on physical skill, like sports do.



Fact: Earthbound is the greatest game ever made

It will fail for different reasons, especially that stupid name.
