Did they compare Wii to the ET game and the Atari crash? lol wow, Malstrom is proven right once again, lol, the industry really wants Nintendo to be doomed.



 

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Peer's the head of IGN's editorial stuff now. I enjoy listening to him still, on the few occasions when he speaks up, but sadly he's mostly in the background nowadays.

Doug, I'm not so sure about.

As to that last part...ratings? I honestly don't know: Peer at least doesn't share their opinions about many things (or if he does, he's not stupid enough to shout them at every opportunity). Maybe he's just facing a severe lack of available talent, and has to make do with what he's got? Lord knows they probably don't pay well at IGN.

I've listen through it all now, and it was not as bad as Malstrom made it sound like, but...pretty bad anyway :P
I don't get how they can bring up ET though. I mean, sure they manufactured to many copies but it was also a really, really bad game.

Something like that, that if you're new to motion controls you may prefer those options instead, and that they don't know what Nintendo will do when they lose the casual gamer, because the hardcore gamer has totally abandoned them and they need them.

I'd be willing to take their place, but even if it were possible I odn't think I would want IGN on my resume
