Yes, what??

I didn't understand a single part of that.

sorry...let me reword, I notice that alot of Wii fans reject the idea of a more streamlined online system, which genuinely shocks me. My question is why? you dont want to play with fellow VGC members online? you dont want a voice chat headset( not a monitering system) you dont wat to open atext or voice chat room get a bunch of friends in there and just talk games or things? why are these ideas such a sin with you guys?

Personally, I'm not satisfied with any of the online offerings on any of the systems.  To be honest, my ideal online system is what they had with the original Xbox.

It used to be that you popped a game into your system, played it for a while, and then when you took it out it was like it was never there.  On PS3 and 360, that game is forever stuck on my record, whether I want it there or not (unless I got zero achievement points in it, in which case I can delete it).  Not only is it there permanently, but anyone can check out what I did in that game, and even though I'm not a competitive person, it makes me feel pressured.  I also don't like the fact that anyone can look at my profile and see what I'm dong at any point in time if I'm using the system's online features.

With the Wii, it's the opposite problem.  I don't like Friend Codes, and Nintendo makes you jump through hoops to ge a good game going.  It also makes it very difficult to play with the same person over multiple games.

With the original Xbox, you didn't have any of these problems.  You connected to Xbox Live when you wanted to, but it didn't feel 'mandatory' and you didn't have games that were stuck on your 'permanent record'.  By th esame token, it easily allowed you to connect with friends and people you meet online.

In short: I heat original Xbox multiplayer.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I don't think anyone would mind a better online and much more streamlined online.   No one is defending friend codes for example.

Wii doesn't even have a good voice option (Wii Speak sucks) so currently a voice chat room is pointless.   A headset would be nice, but really few games would even use that.

For me I play my Wii in quick bursts of play for 10-20 minutes.  I don't need to chat with people playing other games online for that.  It's a quick distraction.  Or alternatively a social system I play with family and friends, locally I mean, not online.   If I want to play for a long time by myself (rarely), then I'll play on the 360 which offers more of that type of game and environment.

Friend's code is retarded. It is even more retarded because when someone adds your code you aren't even notified. It is super super retarded because there are different codes for each game.

Yes, yes, and yes. I wholeheartedly agree with all these points.

It's frustrating that a system that is trying to appeal to non-gamers is so complicated when it comes to online play. Nobody wants to fumble around with 16-digit codes.

So yes, I hope they are working on this.

An account system would be divine, so long as it was in a separate channel or something, so i wasn't automatically connected to an online gaming network every time i turned on

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I'm getting the vibe that Wii fans don't want to admit the Wii has a horrible setup for online play.

If it was exactly like the PS3 and 360, they would love it.

Or people actually have valid opinions without a bias.... Oh wait that can't be possible.

As the most interesting gamer in the world. I rarely play online, and when I do it's on PC.

Not because it's unified (it's not), but because it's easy, fast, free, and generally better for the types of games I like to play competitively.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

For me, not really since I dont have any freinds that own a wii. Except for my younger cousin, but he doesnt have internet.
