sorry...let me reword, I notice that alot of Wii fans reject the idea of a more streamlined online system, which genuinely shocks me. My question is why? you dont want to play with fellow VGC members online? you dont want a voice chat headset( not a monitering system) you dont wat to open atext or voice chat room get a bunch of friends in there and just talk games or things? why are these ideas such a sin with you guys?

I don't think anyone would mind a better online and much more streamlined online.   No one is defending friend codes for example.

Wii doesn't even have a good voice option (Wii Speak sucks) so currently a voice chat room is pointless.   A headset would be nice, but really few games would even use that.

For me I play my Wii in quick bursts of play for 10-20 minutes.  I don't need to chat with people playing other games online for that.  It's a quick distraction.  Or alternatively a social system I play with family and friends, locally I mean, not online.   If I want to play for a long time by myself (rarely), then I'll play on the 360 which offers more of that type of game and environment.
