Things aren't looking so great. I hope Crystal Bearers can pick it up.

I still think there is a big advantage to put big titles on Wii instead of PS3 in Japan because they sell very well with the big userbase on Wii (see MH3 and DQX will also sell huge no doubt) and the development costs are lower than for the HDconsoles.

It´s the smaller titles that flop on Wii. No doubt smaller and "nichetitles" have a hard time on Wii (it makes you wanna cry for instance with the sales of Marvelous games on the platform). That said it would make no sense for instance to move a huge title like DQX from Wii to any of the HDconsoles. If that game is to go someplace else than Wii then it´s the DS (or in second hand the PSP)

I hope Square-Enix will learn from that...

They have been trying to be successful with the Wii and the 360 (and they kind of failed) but the RPG market is either on DS/PSP or on PS3 if we are talking about consoles.

What?

What what?

What's wrong?

I don't see.

Anyway, the RPG audience is on PS3.

Except for the lack of factual support to back up your point that the PS3 sells RPGs that is.

Should I bring Tales of Vesperia numbers?

.33m isn't anything amazing, though for a port it is good. This is especially when you compare it to the sales of DS rpgs. Valkyria Chronicles is the best example, and even then, it didn't sell much better than Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The PS3 and Wii are in the same boat here.

Yes, Wii and PS3 are kind of equal right now but FFXIII will sell a lot of PS3s. And there's a lot of RPGs coming on PS3 next year.

DQX will change everything though...

It's a wrap in Japan.  But like I said in another thread, the West will save it.

I hope. Square has spent too much with this one for people to ignore it.

You don't think it'll do decent numbers in the West?

Hey, I'll most likely be buying it. Everyone will have so much money and gift cards to buy stuff.
