Not being a native English speaker is going to affect his comprehension of what is being said AND being from a different culture is going to SIGNIFICANTLY affect what he takes from the music lyrically (missing out on alot of the wordplay, pop culture (and in the case of Illmatic) historical references, and not understanding what was going on in America at the time and the where the artist's were coming from do you think he would know why NWA are screaming fuck the police?) All he's going to hear when he listens to any of those albums are the cusswords. Just as one might research what was going on at the time in England to better appreciate the Satire in Gulliver's travels, it helps immensely to understand the social situation of Black America to better understand why these artist's are saying what they say.

get rid of the classic music from nobou and mitsuda ROFL yea right. will not sign this crap. and also is there really any western games out there that actually have a classic soundtrack in their game??? ummm uhhhh i cant really think of one. In the past  history of games all the classic soundtrack has been made by the japanese (ex. super mario, zelda, FF, etc) and u want this gone???? seriously??? GET THE FUK OUT!!!!

^if u mean actual songs like the ones used in anime openings then i dont see wat the big deal is since hardly any of them use it. The only one i can think of that used it was Persona 4 and to some extent kingdom hearts but the music there was actually really good so good that they had a music soundtrack to go with the game.

I like how you consider your opinion 'truth'.  And ignore all my 'truths' that the reason its stupid to whine about 'jpop' in games is because they are used to appeal to that market.  Fricken Cloud, Squall and Tidus were DEISIGNED based off of famous JPOP rock stars (most notably Gackt).  Your entire argument is built off of your personal distaste for JPOP and will never change anything, as time and time again the designers at SquareEnix have shown that they don't care about what the fans think and just do what they think will sell the games.  No amount of 'Petitions' will change that, nor whining about JPOP from some Americans which hardly matters at all.

I'd rather like things to stay as they are. Most of JRPG's have j-pop on the opening and ending only and mostly it's an english version which is occasionally even better than the original, IMO.

and please no vocals on the soundtrack, I would get irritated to hear the same song start over and over again while playing.
