When you advertise multiplayer like they are doing, people wanting online is inevitable. If you make a single player game, people will say, don't even local co-op?

The way they are doing? You mean with a group of people sitting on a couch playing together and having fun?

yea, offical ads too all focus on this new feature of local co-op. I was trying to say, people always want more if you give them a taste of something (that looks) good.

Are people seriously still defending no online? I can't believe it. I seriously can't. The game would be eons better with it, and it could be easily added. The game was a rush job people get over it.

It hasn't sunk in yet. Maybe you should say it again. Just in case.

I would like to see some statistical data showing how often people play with their friends in local MP. Anyone have latest neilsen reports?

Even if it did have online, I'd rather play with people next to me.

I actually read this review finally, and i must ask, what in the hell happened to professionalism? This damn thing reads like a blog post, with him crafting his straw-man arguments against the vehement "Nintendo fanboys"

Damn.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I think I've heard of that. It's a quality that automatically disqualifies you from being a modern journalist, right?

*reads this whole thread, but not the actual review, because who does that anymore?*

Well, I'll be having a NSMBW party tomorrow at my house. Wii is set up to the 42" HD, the snacks are ready, the WiiMotes are charged (mostly, except for the one I'm using to play Reflex), and I've got my Mario hat.

Best. Day. Ever!

My gosh, can noone understand the simple fact that online would hardly work with such a game? And don't give me that LBP crap, they're totally different games. And even if the game did have that sloppy online mode, "professionals" would still dock points for it being that >_>

The Wii and Nintendo are in a lose-lose situation right now, and I don't see them getting over it soon...

I obviously mean Press-wise. Too much unsupported and unjustified hate.
