Forums - Gaming - Why are reviewers throwing out 100s left and right?

Hee Hee..

So many bloody 100s given to HD games as of late.. It kinda feels like they're doing it on purpose, even if the game doesn't deserve it. My opinion? They're conspiring against Nintendo..

Or perhaps the games releasing these days are just really really good?

I doubt that has anything to do with this generation:

You'll find just as many perfect scores.

Don't do this, bugrimmar.

You're right- they don't deserve it. No game deserves a perfect score.

And as for them being against the Wii, well, that's true. Almost every Wii game gets a penalty for being on the Wii; the "justification" being that some game on the HD twins looks better. Conversely, to further smear the Wii, they'll also raise an HD score because it looks better than a Wii version does (or could, as they would say).

Personally, I don't care if a game has stickmen for graphics. If it's fun to play, that matters a lot more to me than a borefest that looks pretty. I'm not saying that the "perfect" games are the definition of boring, rather, graphics needs to not be the only thing they look at. Then again, they've bred the fanboy that way- feed them a pretty video and some pretty pictures, and watch them drool as they gobble it up. Makes doing the "reviewing" job much easier...
