Well the reason I don't believe you'll see the same legs, is because of the sales of previous FPS's Halo 3 is the highest on a single console and MW1 is the highest combined, and neither gets anywhere near where you are saying MW2 will get, I could see maybe 15-17 Million LT sales for MW2, but when you say 20-26 million, it just doesn't seem likely, as they would have to beat pretty much every other FPS game on the PS3 and 360 and PC by a large margin to get there

17 million lifetime? It will probably sell that much before year's end. 25 million is likely. It'd have to be the most front loaded game ever to not at least double its first week sales.

The only way NSMB will match it is if it sells 5m+ in Japan.

25 million lifetime, I just don't see it, it would have to be the highest selling game on the PS3 and 360 both, by a huge margin, I do believe it is an extremely frontloaded game

It's highly likely that it will be the best selling 360 game and it's already guaranteed that it will be the best selling PS3 game. However on the PC it won't come close to the best selling FPS.

Halo has currently 10.3m sales, GTAIV on PS3 5.9m and let's take a PC shooter like Crysis which sold about 2.5m.

Now add 1 million to Halo, 1 million to GTA and 0.5 million to Crysis and violá 21.5m and I personally think that's the lower end.

GTA 4 isn't an FPS, the highest FPS is MW1 at 4.7 million, so expecting 6.9-7 million for MW2 on PS3 is unlikely, so yeah, so more like 5-5.5 million for MW2 on PS3 , and maybe 11 million for MW2 on 360, suddenly you're getting around 17 million combined

I said best selling PS3 and best selling 360 game. You said maybe 1-2 million higher than that on each platform. No one was talking about highest selling FPS game on the PS3 or 360.

Both the 360 and the PS3 version will outsell MW1 in the next 2 months. You also completely dropped the PC sales out of your prediction suddenly. My 20-26m prediction contains these PC sales.

Its an FPS, therefore it's compared to other FPS's that it will sell, the reason is the FPS market is what the game appeals to, I added in the PC sales, I just don't think they'll be as high as you think.

I'm thinking max sales will be 5.5, 11 and 2.5 million on PS3, 360 and PC respectively, so at its highest 19 million, but even that I think is high balling it

NSMB will still beat MW2, it'll just take longer

I think we're going to see a fall off in sales, so yeah I don't see it getting anywhere near 7 million on the PS3

however my prediction that Wii Fit would outsell GTA4 (PS360) combined 2:1 can right

NSMB Wii will outsell MW2 (PS360) combined 1.5:1 all said & done

NSMB Wii will not even come close to lifetime sales of MW2. All you have to do is look at preorders to realize that. Sure you can give me the argument that Wii owners don't preorder games because they are casual. Fine with me except by not preordering a game the impression is given that consumers are not anxious for a certain game.
