actually i felt like a team on CoD1,2.
3 was to me boring boring boring! i was talking about 4.

on 1 you felt like you were playing both sides of the coin, and that it felt like an actual war, there is alot of emotions in the characters, though its still arcady like all CoD the atmosphere is there.

in CoD4 like i said, your characters feel alot like ... Duke nukem, they just go there kill everyone and do a oneliner.
and CoD5 was like 3 boring.

It seems like my post was a bit unclear. I said "in the first three games they made"

I thought of:

1. Medal of Honor Allied Assault (core team of IW)

2. Call of Duty

3. Call of Duty 2

CoD3 and CoD5 aren't IW games.

And like I said you're mixing the British part with the American part of the story. In CoD4 you have 2 different characters. One of them is a simple soldier (the American guy) and one of them is a member of the SAS (British guy). Only play the American missions and it does feel like a war like in CoD1 and CoD2.

But even in the British missions you always have a group of teammates around you. But of course not as many as in the US missions. I can remember far more incidents in CoD1 and CoD2 where you have to seperate from you team.

im not saying you are a lone hero in CoD , you have your teammates, but still you feel like Fantastic 4 or something like that.
you just go into a warzone kill everyone and get out laughing.

edit: plus i know that CoD3 and CoD5 aren't made by Infinity Ward. thats why i compared CoD4 to Cod1

Well then name me a singleplayer FPS where you don't feel like Fantastic 4 please :)

the Rainbow Six games are alot underrated, they did all the stuff CoD4 wants to be multiple times, there is also there is brothers in arms series,

while in MoH games your character is a lone warrior against an army, the game still feels like there is a war going on, lots of teammates die, there is this atmosphere going on, and it feels like a desperate fight, that was what i liked in CoD1 , heck i liked that game more than the MoH games. but they overdone that superhero thing in CoD4 which to me lost that atmosphere im talking about.

Fair enough though those games try to aim at a slightly different direction. In both R6 and BiA you're the head of the team and you are the one who gives orders whereas in CoD4 you only receive orders.

Different approach, but yeah you don't feel too overpowered. Although you could correct that in the difficulty setting. (Not in the early Rainbow Six games though)

I agree with your friend for the most part. The stock levels arent very good(I will admit I did not finish them all) and most of the user created content is garbage. There has to be good levels if you like the play style though.

I'm not sure if MW will will be known as the best of the gen, but it will be known as one of the defining games of the gen, unlike LBP.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Honestly stop trying to force your opinions on him. he obviously like COD better. theres nothing wrong with it its his opinion.

There's nothing wrong with preferring CoD4. I prefer CoD4. What's wrong is that LBP is not a bad game, no matter which way you look at it, and you don't realise this until you've played it enough. Half an hour is not enough.

@KylieDog: Wow you have a lot of hate in you for this game. I love the game. Oh and if you are complaining about the user created levels on 2 posts that I have seen thus far, how many of your own have you made and how creative are they? Just checking.

Leo, LBP rocks but the current generation sadly is VERY engrossed in FPS, especially the more realistic ones that make them feel like the are really running around shooting people in the head. We live in a very violent society. Yes before anyone jumps my post, I play some FPSs also but not into the online versions, those people get CRAZY :)

From how you describe him, he's a lost cause.

Did he like Assassin's Creed and GTA4?

assasins creed was repetitive crap and gta 4 was pretty good but a little overrated

Good, you avoided rock bottom.

Now go play Uncharted 2, and tell us how you feel about that.

EDIT: I should also mention that CoD4 is an incredible game, and the second best FPS of this gen, imo.

lmao yea once i get the money il buy uncharted 2
