games with "LEGS" are the true system sellers.

Pokemon, GTA (back in PS2 days), Monster Hunter, Wii Fit & so on

Weird. The past few weeks I've only seen "wow, PS3 holding up awesome" and now that it finally drops below thirty "DOOMED"-ish replies?

It isn't dead, it just moved to handhelds. Also both of those are pretty good sales. Even when the Wii was selling out it only did about 40k-50k a week. So it isn't that bad. If they drop to sub 20 levels again then I see problems.

Japan is still the land of videogames, DQIX proves that...just that they are more and more about handhelds and famous IPs. While DQ and MH sell great in Japan, those games can barely reach 500k-1m outside of there.
It doesn't make a great difference from 35k to 28k, especially if there is where the sales will stay until holidays.
