NFS: Nitro on Wii/DS is the arcade version.

Besides I think it's that racing experience of being in the cockpit that they're really trying to capture with Shift. Looks like it's not your kind of game then.

I have no problems with the AI in races & time attack, but I really hate car battles.
No matter how good your car is, your rival has an even better one.

Oh and the start sucks. Even with a "Perfect Launch" everyone overtakes you easily.

But somehow the game has something that keeps me playing it. I would give it a 8.0 or so.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that buying upgrades is horrible. The performance bars make absolutely no sense.

By the way, if Shift is messed up, then what was involved with Simbin has now blown it in the console arena? Developers from Simbin went over to EA to work on Shift. I saw that RacePro was bashed as horrible, and now Shift is. Simbin racing games were considered top notch. Is it that they just don't know how to make good racing games, or is it that PC gamers don't know what good racing games are?

I thought it sucked, not so much on ai tho

its half way between sim and arcade, and it doesnt work

gimmie turismo or midnight club if i want sim or arcade

also the gimmicky crash effects are overdone and lame

Oh man, Hot Pursuit 2 was freaking awesome.

Shift only looks good because of the cockpit view, I wouldn't be surprised if the gameplay itself was sub-par. It definitely pushes the genre in a new direction but it's only going to accomplish so much.

So to summarise the OP:

NFS SHIFT SUCKS BECAUSE I LOST A RACE!

Or am I mistaken?

i didnt enjoy the demo deleted it after 1 race. wen will they end this franchise?
