It does talk about the G virus though, and I only remember that being in RE2, was the G virus in any other RE?

Obviously the G-virus was in RE3 as well, because this game takes place on September 28th and October 1st, 1998. Jill passed out for two days due to being infected by Nemesis.

RE2 takes place in the night from September 29th to September 30th, 1998. Between the events of RE3. Raccoon City was infected by the G-virus, released by William Birkin when he was assassinated.

The G-virus is also mentioned by William Birkin in RE0 which takes place in the night from July 23rd to July 24th, 1998. He tells Albert Wesker that he needs a little bit more time to finish the G-virus, the place of this conversation can be seen in the current Umbrella Chronicles trailer.

But as has been said before, so far nothing indicates that we will see characters from RE2 in Umbrella Chronicles. Storywise it won't have much influence though, because RE3 takes place in the same timeframe as RE2.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

I'll be buying this - 90% sure. It seems to have a huge amount of content, and should prove a favourite game in the house when "gamer" friends when come on over.

One of my mates will definitely go gaga over this, and it should be a blast to play with him.

I never got to beat RE2 so this could be a nice refresher.

Actualy anything pertaining specfically to Resident Evil 2 seem to be missing from Umbrella Chronichles, at least of current.

They've shown, Billy/Rebecca (RE0), Chris/Jill (RE1), Jill/Carlos (RE3), and it looks like it addresses a lot invovling Wesker and possibly what happens up to RE4. But so far,
no video has shown Claire or Leon, or any of the RE2 specfic bosses. Which annoys me since it's my favorite
Resident Evil.

Which only fuels my suspicions about a possible REmake2...

So anyone knows if there's an option to dual wield guns in this? If there is, I would get it, otherwise sorta on the fence.

This game supports Zapper which takes up both the nunchuck and the wiimote so I doubt it to be honest.

Actually.

The different control methods - four total - are decent all around, but the game doesn't allow for full customization, so you'll have two Wii-mote selections, and two Zapper selections total. As a nice thought, however, the use of analog movement for general head-turning can actually be assigned to either both players at once, or only one, so if you're playing this M-rated game with a younger gamer - God forbid - they'll at least have only as much control as you give them; just keep in mind you're sharing a life bar, though your grenades and weaponry are person-specific. As a side-note, we played through a chapter of the game in 2P mode by ourselves, playing with two Wii-motes and leaving all camera movement to the computer and had a blast. It was hard as heck, especially when involved in RE4-like cinemas where button combos or motions are needed to avoid injury (each player doing a different move than the other), but having an auto-shotty in one hand and an SMG in another is one heck of a rush: Just remember which cursor is which.

Sounds like on the remote only settings you can indeed dual wield. They did the same thing with Ghost Squad, except it was two people with four reomotes. =P

Sounds like they were playing 2P with one person, thats not built in dual wielding, thats telling the game that your two people =P

Sounds pretty damned hard too XD

Of course...there's no dual-wielding built in to any existing or future game so far.

That doesn't matter though...it'd still be fun to dual wield by playing 2-player as 1.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

i'll buy it purely cause its a RE game.

I'm really looking forward to this game. I am upset that the Wii isn't getting a traditional RE game though. I just really hope that this game is long enough. Like at least 5 hours.  I also hope it's truly scary.

Add me on Xbox Live: TopCat8

well lets hope buying this game will show we want a more traditional RE game too.
