I hate to say this, but the highest selling, non bundled game on the Wii is Wii Play. You can have all the userbase you want, but he still had good reason for his opinion.

I mean...

The 8 million sellers on the Wii:

Wii Sports- Bundle.

Wii Play- Low rated minigame title with bundled Wii Remote.

Zelda- Adventure game while still only being the 8th highest selling game in the series.

Mario Party 8: Low rated minigame title.

Warioware: Smooth Moves: High rated minigame title.

Super Paper Mario: High rated platformer.

Rayman Raving Rabbids: Somewhat well reviewed minigame title.

Red Steel: Low rated first person game.

Plus, half of them were launch titles. So maybe the Wii audience isn't hardcore enough. Maybe it is. The attitude of the audience is what matters, not the size.

The Wii user isn't hardcore? How would they know? They've yet to even attempt to release a main series game for the console so they know what kind of market they have. Assumptions make everyone look like an ass.

Yeah Montana you are right, but the problem is that this guy is generalizing.

Nintendo has some of the most hardcore gamers who has stuck by them since the NES through hard times. Maybe he should think twice before spilling his guts.

An interesting thing is that according to this site there are no versions of Silent Hill that ever sold more than a Million copies, and the only version that was ever claimed to have broked a million (from Wikipedia) was Silent Hill 2 and that was released to the PS2, XBox and PC ... It makes me wonder whether it is fair to claim that there are not enough "Hard-Core" gamers on the Wii being that Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition may outsell the best selling version of any Silent Hill game ...

I have to wonder how Nintendo comes up with these statistics. A lot of them sound like complete bullshitting to be completely honest.

As for Nintendo having hardcore gamers, that is very true. However, the problem with these gamers is that they tend to not buy non-Nintendo titles unless they're very well reviewed or hyped.
