I know which version I'm getting: Neither! I don't have time for games that aren't AAA.

lol...this is such a lame way of thinking. So you are saying you like AAA games...no matter what genre they are?

Currently I like action games, survival horror games and shooters...and an action game rated 7/10 will surely be more enjoyed by me than a AAA JRPG.

Also, you must have seen gameplay footage and screenshots of the game...and obvisouly you are not interested, but if bayonetta turns out to be AAA or close to it...will that make you want to play it? Kinda sad if it does...

LOL as soon as I saw it was a DirtyP thread, I knew it was bad for the PS3. Anyways, all I see is that the colors on the 360 version are more vibrant (the black on her "suit" is blacker than on the PS3 version) and that's about it. In motion, they both look pretty damn good, side by side you can see the difference but who actually does that?

I think one of Steroid's favorite games is Demon Souls. It might drop below 90 percent. Ruhroh!

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

my god.... before you judge based on some screenshots

go to Japan PSN and download the demo
set the game at 720p output (looks better than 1080p)
the gameplay is amazing and smooth, and when you play this game at that speed, who needs to go into those details......

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

lol the textures on both look like utter shit.. the ps3 one just looks hell of alot worse.

Horribly looking compared to the actual gameplay, but hey.. screens are screens.

haven't seen actual gameplay yet, just the screens and I was shocked how bad the PS3 version looked compared to the Xbox360 version.

But yeah, this game doesn't push any console to any limits :D I blame lazy developers on both systems.

should watch 360 gameplay on gamersyde.. and yea you probably right could be done on ps2..

Yes, they outsourced it. Not doing both versions is just lazy.

Yes, Valve did not want to do the PS3 version, why? They didn't like to platform or just didn't want to deal with it.

I'll call nearly every developer lazy if they don't mutliplatform very similar. I understand that most games will have subtle differences, but this is just stupid.

Bogus dude. If you're going to call someone lazy, it implies that their work is lazy, not their business decisions. If you meant that, you should have explained.

Also, since when is making money considered lazy? I think this decision was obviously done in order to get the game out quicker, so it could make money, and perhaps a profit, instead of being strangled financially by a mired and slow development process.

This decision was obviously made due to the efficiency of having two teams working at once in order to meet a release date, which is already late. If this PS3 version suffered for it, then it suffered in order to obtain profit, not because Platinum just didn't feel like doing it, or whatever you've implied.

Come ON bro. You can't use such simplistic logic as "lazy" to describe things that you haven't thought out, like this.

I hate to single you out, but yours was just the first post that was new enough to talk about. It's not only insultive and unfair, it's deceptive and factually incorrect, and you already know it.

If you mean something that isn't what you've obviously implied, then you have to explain it from now on, or it reflects poorly on you.

Let's just drop it, honestly.

See, I don't understand how you put words in my word by telling me what I'm implying. I appreciate the look into what I was thinking. Obviously it's more financiallly sound to rush out a product to save on development time, but then you're going to lose many PS3 sales. Just look in the thread, and I'm sure it'll get pushed aside when it launches near every other Q1 2010 title.

And yes, I'd consider trying to get the game quicker rather than push it back (which they've already done) to have a finished product. I'm not saying it's all on their work, I'm sure Platinum is pressured to get it out fast and of high quality, but also the decision to pass it off to Sega because they can not do it (or did not want to like in Valve's case).

PS3 version looks clearly inferior, this is what happen when a multiplat game is outsourced on a secondary platform. Ironic because I'm almost positive that this game will sell more on the PS3.

I know I'll be getting this on the 360, the difference is noticeable even to my lazy eyes and thats when they start counting.

As ever, all this tells us is that the developer ain't among the top league graphically/coding wise (because the title doesn't look too hot on either console from the shots I've seen) and that they made, so I gather, the now boring mistake (despite lots of developers publically saying it's not the way to do it) of developing on 360 first then porting to PS3, producing sub-par results with code that does not run well on PS3.

This doesn't mean any console is more powerful than another, just that this developer produced somewhat better results on one console vs another due to their approach.

To be honest this is looking more and more like Wet to me - cool concept and likely to be an average game drowned by ODST, Uncharted 2, etc. at retail.

In other words - not a big deal at the current time.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

@People calling them lazy, ND is lazy, they dont wanna use the full power of the Xbox 360!

The PS3 is harder to developer for, look at GT5,they been in dev for ever. Dont call the devs lazy call Sony lazy for just throwing in any CPU and GPU they could find within time.

And the reason the 360 has better graphics is because

The 360 can easly put high def textures on floors in game, and cut scenes, but when it cant do it all. Sure there are SOME ps3 games that use this feature, but cmon face it, Even Uncharted 2 has bad graphics compared to games like L4D? Value had over 5 different teams working on the 360 version, all to keep it within release date.

Since Naughty Dog is owned by Sony, I don't blame them!
