Resident Evil 4 for the Wii has incredible sales. With christmas around the corner, it should be possible to reach a million in sales. But some other targets are also near: The PS2-version of RE4 sold in america only 670K. RE4Wii is already at 436K. The GC-version of RE4 made 440K in others. This is also a target, that the Wii-version can reach. Do you think it will beat it's predecessors? What impact will RE:UC have? Will it increase the interest into RE-series or will everyone who wants a RE buy UC and no other version?

well those two targets i think are possible, but looking at WW targets i doubt it (GC version is at 1.6million...PS2 version at 1.9million)

it's only half way to getting to GC RE4 numbers....i think it could manage a million...maybe 1.2

PS2 = 1.91m
Wii = .82m

It's initial rush is over, so from here it is just a slow moving train. It would take a serious new push of advertising for it to double it's sales. I think it will eventually be a million seller on Wii though.

Yeah, I know the WW-sales of the other versions are hard to reach. But what about the single regions? America wasn't that much for PS2 and Others not too much for the GC-version.

Well, maybe in particular regions.

I think it'll just barely hit a million in the end, but hardly a chance at reaching the other versions. Not that this means the game hasn't sold well. It's already done twice what Capcom expected and still going reasonably strong.

I expect sales to go more down than up as more quality games for the Wii are released, as lack of quality titles is probably increasing demand in this case.

I see a little revival with RE:UC and Christmas. I think it will reach 1.0-1.1 Mill lifetime. After Christmas this title should be dead.

I agree with the above little over 1.0 million predicitons however when the wii is selling number like it is and there's so many new users there's always a chance.

Even thoughwe are looking forward to new games coming out then I reckon RE4 will always appeal to new wii owners as it's such a must play title.
