It turns out that all those who where upset by this when it was first revealed were right. I was a big fan of TMNT when I was a kid, and this just seems wrong. There are just too many great characters in the series to pull stuff like this.

I can't believe whoever licensed this game allowed Ubisoft to do this.

Well, I think it's more based on modern characters from the newer t.v. show. They're playing off this generations love for the turtles unfortunately. Not our generations nostalgia....

Still, there has got to be 16 characters in the new TV show they could have used.  If there isn't, they should have gone with 13 and left out the Rabbids.

New fighters always have a small roster. SSB only had about 12 while at the time Street Fighter was hitting over 20. New fighters don't have previous resources and character design to work from. Heck some start with 8. The next TMNT Smash Up will probably have about 6 more. If there is another one. 16 is reasonable start.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I want to know what Ubisoft would blame if the game don't sell...

The developers for not including more Rabbids and miscellaneous other characters from Ubisoft franchises.

I hate to say i told you so but i had a bad feeling about this when they first announced the Rabbids' inclusion a few months ago.

The small roster is fine.  People are mostly upset at who is in the roster.  Like the Rabbids.

I'm in full agreement with just about everyone else. There are tons of TMNT characters. Personally I haven't watched the newer stuff, but why not take characters from the entire history of the series, the most famous ones, and include them? Why include only newer characters? I wouldn't mind having newer characters alongside Rocksteady, Bebop, Baxter Stockman, Krang, etc. Why not make everyone happy? They could also allow you to pick, as in Brawl, what costume your character can wear, so you can have your turtle or other character look like they do in the old or newer series. I just don't get it. If you're going to make a game like this, make it right. You've just turned off anyone who doesn't know and like the newer series.

I remember SF2 having only 8?

Forget Rabbids, what about the rabbit? Yusagi Yujimbo!

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Well Turtles Tournament Fighters had 7 on the NES, 8 on Genesis/MegaDrive, and 10 on the SNES.
