Halo 3 used different engine than 2 and ODST is using Halo 3 engine - Reach will use completely new engine.
to all those ps3 fanboys who can't stand the fact that ODST is really good game and considering the content of this game 40$ price is a steal(atleast in europe since i think NA is getting this game for 60$ - for once europe is better). seriously Halo 3 alone still costs 20-25$ new, dlc packs are for about 18$ so basically you are getting ODST for free.

and yes, Killzone 2 deserves 7/10(controls and shallow gameplay can't hide behind shiny graphics and effects) and MGS 4 deserves 8/10(now if MGS4 would be more like an actual game.....).

I'm sorry but I just can't respect them as reviewers, MGS4 is one of the best games ever and I don't think a game who is shorter and doesn't have as high production values can be better than it.

Well that is the problem of MGS4 : A very high production value that lacks a bit/lot of gameplay actually.

I was really impressed when I saw it, but this is the first time I had a bitter taste in my mouth while playing MGS (Wayyyyyy to much cutscenes.. and that silly story... ).

Nothing will ever beat Snake Eater, best of the series.


Amen. MGS3 is still in my top 10 of all time. So is MGS1. MGS2 and 4...not so much...

So after reading to page 5 on this thread beside PSRock the only people who complaining about the review are Sony Fanboys.

Yep, and the other side used the chance to bad mouth KZ2 and MGS4.  Thank god I don't keep a loaded gun next to my desk, otherwise the pure unadulterated stupid on these forums sometimes would make me paint the wall behind me with my brain.

no comment on mgs4, but read my killzone 2 review on here to see why it is so much better than a 7.  that is all.

Haha you're all against me.. It's just my opinion guys, if you think this game deserves a 9 then it's fine, I just don't think it does.

@ crashdown77, we'll have to agree to disagree, and by the way I do believe IGN is one of the most respectable reviewers out there.

I am not complaining about the ODST review...Halo is awesome and I'm sure it deserves 9. I'm pissed at Edge for not treating all good games equally .

Thanks for the decent response! +1 respect for you. I agree to disagree with you on MGS4, but I agree with you about IGN, I really put a lot of personal credence into their reviews, on balance I have agreed with them a lot after playing a game. And, by the way, I can totally see how someone could LOVE MGS4 and I would nver think someone is stupid for disagreeing with me.
