I predict "360 is domed" threads.
4 ≈ One
By the way, this year could be the first year that the PS3 outsells the 360.
360 sold more by the skin of its teeth in 2007, but sold more in 2008 quite comfortably.

this whole thing reminds me of genesis and snes
tho at that time i was having the most fun on my turboduo
360 is domed lol
OT: Wow...a whole year of outselling, undone in 2 weeks. It's like in the Dark Knight when Harvey Dent did all that crap over all the time, only for it to be undone as soon as he turned into Two Face for all of 30 minutes (if Batman hadn't taken the fall)

I think by the end of 2009 the gap can be cut by 1.5 million.
If Sony can get the wands out by the end of April 2010 they can mak it interesting for 2010.
Regardless, id say unless Natal becomes a phenomenon the PS3 should have the gap cut to 4.5 million by the end of next year.
high end weekly estimates for 2010
Factors im considering.
FF, GT5, Resonance of fate, Tekken, Yakuza, WKC2 japan
GT5, GoW3, FF13 in Others (playstating brand will aid PS3 over 360 for FF13)
GoW3, GT5, Blu-ray in america.
PS3
30k japan 65k america 80k others = 175k WW weekly average = 9.1 million
360
3k Japan 75k america 60k others = 138k WW weekly average = 7.2 million
So 7.7 million lead right now for the 360.
minus 1.5 million by the end of 2009.
minus 2 million by the end of 2010.
equals 4.2 million lead.
At least those are my thoughts.
Of course the wild cards here are th emotion controls for both sony and MSFT, so my analysis is independant of those since we dont have a feeling for reception of either product yet.
@steverhcp02: You are forgetting about the holiday season, if PS3 Slim becomes the console to buy for this year even a bit like Wii was last year(over 1 million one week) it wil wil close the gap by another 500k-1million.
This doesn't affect me, Im neither an employee nor a shareholder of either company. As long as the games I want still come out I couldn't care less about whats selling more
