Whoops..

Can't we all just not talk or write in this thread, and just sit back and watch the awesomeness that this gen has produced? ;D No need for in-depth views on what makes games look good.

Even if 2 or 4 splitscreens would tear up the beauty of these games, there is still no winner! So what if Uncharted 2 "would've" looked bad due to splitscreen. Or if Forza 3 "would've" looked greater than GT5 if they hadn't done 4 player splitscreen or whatever. Thats not the point of this thread.

The point is.. PS3 was marketed as a "superior" console, still we have games that look worse on the PS3 compared to others. But when some developers decide to go exclusive, the PS3 tend to get amazing looking games that are always in the forefront of graphic comparisons. Games that really makes the console shine in all its glory and really makes sense of why some people claim the PS3 to be "more powerful".

I agree its just i hate the whole mentallity of the people that think "because its on ps3 its better than anything else" or "because its on ps3 it cant be done anywhere else". I think its narrow minded and in the long run your only short cutting yourself from games on other platforms.

The polygon count in K2 was to be so much higher than the others. I thought U2 trounced it, but man is that screenshot sexy!

I agree aswell. But im curious, ´cus i haven't really seen anyone in this thread claiming that "ps3 is better than anything else"? Might have missed it, but most people in here seem to just think that these games are worthy of being recognised as the top of the class when it comes to visual orgasm.

neither 360 or wii with 4 player split screen with good graphics have  this kind of graphics.

haze had it, and yet it's not considered  a good game.

 

To be fair, Halo 3 actually looks pretty good while doing it, but this ISN'T the best gen for split-screen games. Hopefully, future gens don't repeat history.

 

So does Resistance 2, Those 2 games have some of the bes graphics for a split screen game.

And Your right those games do deserve to be recognised for visual excellence because they are great looking games, not because they have the playstation logo on them.

Being that Forza 3 is the only title was exclusively created to seize the 360's potential power I would have to relinquish the argument. The PS3 has amazing looking games which take advantage of its power and that cannot be debated. The 360 hasn't had a chance to go through that process until Forza 3. I hope to see more in the future from both.

IMO God of War 3 looks much better than MGS which was released mid 2008. Killzone 2 even looks better than MGS. New released games keep on improving upon the older games in regards to graphics.
