That doesn't really make any sense. The Wii's been down YoY long before the Slim came out obviously. The 360 has been up YoY because of the introduction of the Arcade sku last year. The Wii is still at its launch price (not to mention AC:CF and Wii Music turned out to be a bust). Nintendo didn't change hardware projections so I'm still trying to see what's goin' on.
Finally, after 3 years, the first week of the competition. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

360's price cut was to maintain market share. It was not a move to go on the offensive. It succeeded...
Microsoft seems to be trying to just maintain market sales through the holiday season. Sony is trying to be agressive, and we have yet to hear what Nintendo will do. Judging from 250 Gb rumours, Sony and Microsoft are not done either.

OT: Wow. PS3 has 63.5% marketshare for this week.
Third highest PS3 sales in one week. Record is still 609k on Christmas week in Holiday 2007. Second place is the Europe launch of 584k. So, if you like, it is the best non-holiday, non-launch week for PS3 hardware!
It should smash the record on Christmas week this holiday, I think. Is 1 million possible?
