360's price cut was to maintain market share. It was not a move to go on the offensive. It succeeded...
Microsoft seems to be trying to just maintain market sales through the holiday season. Sony is trying to be agressive, and we have yet to hear what Nintendo will do. Judging from 250 Gb rumours, Sony and Microsoft are not done either.
