Exactly.  He also didn't tell people that they should be happy to get a second job in order to purchase his console, or that they were so dumb that his company could launch the system with no games and it would still sell five million.

Leave Krazy Ken where he is, Kaz is putting the brand on the road to recovery.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

DAM how hot Ps3 looks!

Take my love, take my land..

@the kitchen sink

I think we can forgive one mistake from the person that created the must powerful brand in videogame history

anyways I am going to post a thread on this in the gametrailers forums.....I'll be careful, as I have heard people don't come back alive from that place!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Also your thread title is misinformed, he was never fired, he was offered a higher position which he took and retired soon after. Now he is just Honorary Chairman, it is believed he runs a studio that was joint created by Namco and Sony called Celluis.

This wasn't made public, but they fired him when they caught him playing Wii Fit.

Want him at the head of the PS Division now?

EDIT: To be serious now, he wasn't fired, they gave him a better paycheck and told him to do no work. That's a pretty sweet deal.

@Acevil

do you HONESTLY believe SONY didn't put pressure on him to move him out of the PS Division?

@Kantor

Head....yeah I'd like that

He will learn from his mistake

he is not some devil, the man achieved a lot & gave the gaming industry a lot

Although i must admit ken did get the wrong end of the stick when things went wrong back in 2007, but now ps3 is starting to hit it's stride again, no-one can actually say it was all ken's fault, it was a combination of things which lead to the ps3 being where it was, but now we can all forget about it because the ps3 has grown alot since then.
Still keep Kaz doin the job because he seems to be doing it well at the moment.

it's the future of handheld

A mistake is something that you realize you shouldn't have done, in hindsight.  The Virtual Boy was a mistake.  The Playstation 3's entire first year was a mistake.  Insulting the consumer and basically calling them mindless followers to their face is not a 'mistake'.
