u missed alot of jrpg for the 360, tales of vesperia, eternal sonata, enchanted arms, magna carta 2, cross edge, final fantasy 11:online,last remnant ( should be their as well, doesnt matter if its on the pc, its only for the 360 as of consoles , since the ps3 version is no where to be found ), final fantasy 13. also 80% of the ps3 games u listed are not and i repeat not jrpg's they are srpg's or action/rpg's so they dont belong in this comparison. neither does the last 3 u listed for the 360, as far as jrpg's go the ps3 has only eternal sonata, tales of vesperia, enchanted arms, cross edge and final fantasy 13,last rebellion, artier rorona. the 360 is still the king this gen, cant get around the games selection.

Either they were on the list or are not exclusive.

I consider The Last Remnant exclusive but the PS3 version isn't officially cancelled yet.

And you're cherry picking big time. FF11 is a MMORPG but that's ok to count but we can't count SRPGs or action RPGs?

Honestly, think about what you post. Insert a little bit of grammar.

^ I see that guy's sig and man there's only one RPG in there that wasn't repetitive; Eternal Sonata.

Travis Touchdown ERECTION CONFIRMED!

edit: outlaw beat me to it.

I just hope those PS3 JRPG's get released in the west soon. ^^

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

This is an exclusives thread, hence missing Tales of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata and others. But yeah, a lot of the ps3 ones aren't out (or out in the west) yet. Magna Carta 2 is there, at least pic shows for me. Last Remnant should be there, agreed, although the pc version is way better and the 360 one is too burdeneted with its technical flaws.

Strategy JRPGs are still JRPGs, they are just way more niche. Haven't played the last two listed for the 360 though, but from what people say they pretty much suck, which is very different for Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea 3.

The 360 is nowhere the JRPG king it used to be, partly because quite a bit has been ported and partly because what hasn't been is getting old, save for Magna Carta 2 (which still might get ported) and Star Ocean 4.

Really? That's pretty consistent complaint I hear about Eternal Sonata. That the fighting system really evolve much throughout the game.

Oh noes 7th generation CONFIRMED as the best for JRPGs.....

don't make me laugh

i don't get your comment.

why can't we expect JRPG to evolve in this generation?  it may not be your favorite genre, but a lot of gamers still love it the most.

It actually is one of my favourite genres.

You critizised the 360 JRPGs to be just HD upgrades. That makes me think you never enjoyed a traditional JRPG before this gen, which is obviously nonsense. I have no idea why you wrote that part.

what i was trying to say is, the Japanese RPG developers have to bring more novelty into this genre.

they can't just upscale the graphics and expect the game to sell.  only the existing "fans" will buy those games and those "fans" are getting older.  they either have very little time to play games or completely give up on gaming.  the JRPG delelopers need to figure out a way to bring new blood into this genre.  i pointed out VC and DS are refreshing because these two games are very unique and different from other JRPG we have ever experienced on PS2 era.  you have a PS3, try those games and you may understand what i meant.

I almost completed VC (last mission or so), but I don't feel "refreshed" while playing it. In fact I don't think that games like VC will bring new gamers into JRPGs. FFXIII will do that even though it follows traditional paths with only small innovations.

The name of the thread is "exclusives"... Vesperia,Enchanted Arms, Eternal Sonata,FFXI online,FFX 13, and to some people Last Remnant are all Multiplat.

I mean it was a pretty good game. Maybe because it was the only one out of all the ones he listed that I didn't take back early. lmao

Also FFXI was on PS2 before 360 and if your counting MMO's, then we should add FFXIV to PS3.
