I did, but i'll let you in on a little secret, not everyone likes the games you like...I know i've blown your mind with that revelation

If you can look at a list like that for any console and totally write it off without a thought that's the sign that you are irreperably biased and you should probably be ignored.  I would say the same for someone that looked at the next half a year of Wii games and said the same thing you just did.

I write it off because there is not one game on that list i'm interested in, period, I know its hard for you to believe, but some of us don't care for games like Bioshock, or mass effect or god of war or a new racer (outside of mario kart)

And what genre exactly are you looking for?

Games I am looking forward to playing this fall, the rest of Tales of Monkey Island, New Super mario brothers, the metroid Prime trilogy, Rabbids go home, the new tropico game

So you're looking forward to Metroid (which consists of shooting things), but you don't like shooters.

Well, this has just been one crazy ride.

Cause all shooters are alike?  I get Metroid Prime and Halo confused all the time.

If one calls Mario Kart a racer in line with games such as Gran Turismo, it is perfectly acceptable to call Metroid a shooter in line with games such as Halo. Metroid and Halo are a lot more alike than MK and GT.

He seems very close minded. Most of the games he's looking forward have something extrememly comparable on HD consoles.

Now how exactly this makes someone close minded? If once console suits your needs why would there be a need on getting another one, especially only to get alternatives to game you will get. There is nothing wrong with calling a game lame, its just a matter of taste , i think Forza and GT series are lame (but thats purely because i dislike driving games) but thats my opinion.

If Wii had Mass effect, Fallout or Fable i would never bother with the 360.

He's not interested in it because it's not on the Wii. If the Wii had those games, then he'd most likely be very interested in their sequels.

I don't see how anyone can have reasons not to own every console outside of money. Each console has more than enough games to justify the purchase in my opinion.

time? ...the fact that your gaming needs may be satisfied by the console(s) you already own?

Of course, time.

And I'm a firm believer that you can't ever get too much satisfaction.

Right, because Halo was the only shooter on that list.

Let me explain. If he desires to play Metroid, it means he must have some interest in shooting or shooters. If that's the case, he'd want to play at least a couple of these games. None of these games have been released yet, so he can't exactly make assumptions about them. He also certainly hasn't played them. It's one thing to say you don't want to play them, it's another thing to claim that you don't like a genre and then list a game from the same genre as something you're looking forward to. And even if we ignore that example, there are still likely other games he could say he's looking forward to that would further explore his hypocrisy. Don't defend him, you're wasting your time.

Psrock: I think he meant to that I owned, not that I was owned.

If Wii had Mass Effect, Fable and Fallout, Avinash would love then to pieces >_> Not liking RPGs, Racers, Shooters, Action games or puzzle games really doesn't leave much to love about games. Maybe he likes Fighting, sports, and party games.

No not unless they were made by nintendo, and were totally different games, like you've never seen a game like fallout from nintendo, or Fable, Nintendo would ahve made them different (and actually good), the only fighting game I have ever liked is Smash Bros, the only racer is Mario Kart, I also like the Paper mario and Mario and Luigi RPG's

Metroid is an adventure game with shooting, not a shooter like Halo which is just running around and gunning down aliens

No, because if you played Metroid prime, you'd see that its not really a shooter like Halo and the like, Metroid is more about exploration and adventure than shooting, you are mistaken if you think that liking metroid prime means you like shooters like halo

Also many of these shooters listed, like bioshock, left 4 dead, etc are sequels so i've seen their predecessors and was not impressed by them, and they were not in the vein of Metroid prime

Wait, are you saying Fallout 3 and Fable 2 aren't "actually good" games? Opinions are welcome, but you post far too often in absolutes. If I'm mistaken, I apologize. If not, please elaborate..

Perhaps I should add in an IMO to my posts, I don't consider them good, I found them boring when I tried them at a friends house

Okay then, perhaps you'd enjoy Uncharted 2. That promises things very similar to what you described. Point is, you can't say you dislike these games. Especially withut playing them.

Again uncharted is a sequel, I played the original a bit, kinda tomb raiderish, not really my interest, so unless the second is completely different gameplay I already know I won't be interested
