If you can look at a list like that for any console and totally write it off without a thought that's the sign that you are irreperably biased and you should probably be ignored.  I would say the same for someone that looked at the next half a year of Wii games and said the same thing you just did.

I write it off because there is not one game on that list i'm interested in, period, I know its hard for you to believe, but some of us don't care for games like Bioshock, or mass effect or god of war or a new racer (outside of mario kart)

And what genre exactly are you looking for?

Games I am looking forward to playing this fall, the rest of Tales of Monkey Island, New Super mario brothers, the metroid Prime trilogy, Rabbids go home, the new tropico game

So you're looking forward to Metroid (which consists of shooting things), but you don't like shooters.

Cause all shooters are alike?  I get Metroid Prime and Halo confused all the time.

Right, because Halo was the only shooter on that list.

Let me explain. If he desires to play Metroid, it means he must have some interest in shooting or shooters. If that's the case, he'd want to play at least a couple of these games. None of these games have been released yet, so he can't exactly make assumptions about them. He also certainly hasn't played them. It's one thing to say you don't want to play them, it's another thing to claim that you don't like a genre and then list a game from the same genre as something you're looking forward to. And even if we ignore that example, there are still likely other games he could say he's looking forward to that would further explore his hypocrisy. Don't defend him, you're wasting your time.

No, because if you played Metroid prime, you'd see that its not really a shooter like Halo and the like, Metroid is more about exploration and adventure than shooting, you are mistaken if you think that liking metroid prime means you like shooters like halo

 

Also many of these shooters listed, like bioshock, left 4 dead, etc are sequels so i've seen their predecessors and was not impressed by them, and they were not in the vein of Metroid prime
