Wow the Wii is getting pwned. Soon the 360 may outsell it at this rate. Also, the "HD twins" are outselling the Wii by a lot now.

VGChartz did a great job on the hardware this week, with only the Wii differing significantly. Software wise more of a mixed bag, with most in the right ball park, but others like Wii Fit being fairly over tracked and Mario Kart DS significantly under tracked. Now that I think about it why is Mario Kart DS so high, almost above Mario Kart Wii? Overall low sales for everything but the DS, and the 360 doing ok as well. It is disappointing for the Wii that a game that sold of 500k in the month couldn't give a bigger boost. Hopefully all home consoles will be up next month on Wii Sports Resort and Madden.

There will be a price cut for all three consoles this year.

It'll be interesting to see how may 360s are Arcade models. At $199 it'd be a good point to see how much the price is helping MS (and much much a price cut could help Sony and Nintendo)

I merged the Vgc estimate with the NPD numbers, the only significant difference are the Wii numbers, everything else is so spot on I wonder if ioi can accuse them of copying our numbers?!

I'm expecting PS3/360 hardware cuts but since NPD doesn't provide weekly sales, Wii may have boosted alot in the week Wii Sports Resort was out. August will be telling in that regard. I suspect if Wii flatlines or drops in August, then yeah, we get a Wii price cut. No shame in it really, Wii came in Nov 2006 - one price cut in three years is unbelievable historically speaking.

Well, the XBox 360 has performed well for 3 holidays, I don't see it doing any worse for the 2009 holiday. If they get a nice bundle up there before Novemebr, they should be good to go. The Arcade systems will probably sell out like they did last year. I'm curious to see the specs on the PS3 Slim though. What did Sony remove from the innard? Hhhhm....
