Note that these are all good or even great games, but they're still overrated among the gaming community.

Valkyria most certainly is NOT overrated its still going strong.

Why is BioShock overrated? I hear its a great game from everyone!

Valkyrie is lifted to sky high on this site. I watched it on Playme (or what that play-through site is called) and it looked like a sub 80% game.

Bioshock is awesome, but not worthy of 95% it has on Metacritic. Although it's certainly not getting the praise it deserves here on VGC, because this site is strangely enough filled with JRPG-lovers.

You watched it , but didn't play it.

i watched it at first and thought it was generic, but then i played the demo, and bought the game at full price , still totally worth it.

GTAIV and FFVII are the most over-rated, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't doubt they have extremely high production values and can be a great experience for others, but they didn't grab me at all. That'll pretty much be the case for any "most over-rated game", I think. It's personal preference.

GTA IV i mean besides graphics and physics it is a step backwards from San Andreas, plus it lacks the fun of VC

Halo 3/Cod 4 this probably comes from my dislike of Online gaming, i enjoyed Single Player in Halo to some extent (co-op) but online is boring for me.

MGS 4 i watched my friend play this and i mean, cut scene after cut scene, and Pseudo-philosophical atmosphere.

On the Wii it would be Boom Blox its just not that fun.
