Sony should have paid for exclusivity of their song.
Yet another example of sony shooting itself in the foot.

man that advert sucked...
MS normaly has better ads.. though only for the games the console ads suck.... as do those laptop hunter ads... if they used real people and not actors it would be cooler, but i guess they would not be as skill reading the prepared lines.

Microsoft didn't do anything wrong. The epic failures here are Sony. Even if the deriding fanatics cannot get it through their thick skulls. If you license third party songs for your advertising it is the height of irresponsibility to not negotiate a preventative contract. This is actually quite a standard business practice.
The reality is that Sony should have had it in their licensing agreement that the song couldn't be licensed to another gaming entity for their advertising. Instead they decided to save some coin, and this is what happens when you skimp on the basics. Now Microsoft gets to music to co-opt some of the image Sony crafted.
I would equally lambaste Microsoft or Nintendo had they done the same. Microsoft did something smart, and Sony simply did something stupid. Anyway don't behave like this song is the property of Sony. After all if you rent a house what do you have to say about the next renter once you have moved on. Nothing at all. Sony taking a crap somewhere doesn't mean that Sony owns it for the rest of eternity. It is only their crapper as long as they are sitting on it.
*facepalm*
MS : why bothering searching songs while you can Steal it from the others ..

I don't know how you fanboys can't get a chuckle out of this!!! Sony copied Xbox Lives blue print (including achievements and of course you ignore that) and you yet can't even get a laugh out of this? A song that doesn't happen to have been exclusive? When I used to watch wrestling a lot their generic songs used to be used over and over on by MTV and the USA Network. At first I was saying "WTF" to myself when I heard this song, but still it ended up making me laugh. It just lets us know that the makers of LBP didn't even have the song made for them.
Wow this is a bigger Epic fail on Sony's part than when they used the PGR screen shots for GT5....

Am I the only person who has almost no memory of this song at all?
Honestly, if you were to test 1000 people at random and ask them to identify a song associated to a product I would be surprised if 2% identified this song as being related to Little Big Planet.
On top of that, I found the following comment from Kotaku kind of unusual:
"When you think of PS3 exclusive, two things probably immediately jump to mind: that cute Sackboy character and that catchy tune."
The reason being that I would expect far more people to immediately think of Metal Gear Solid, Resistance 1 or 2, Killzone 2, Ratchet and Clank, or even Motorstorm before they thought of Little Big Planet.
