Nope, Japan loves Sumo, Wrestling, MMAs and martial arts in general but boxing is way beloew those, actually few japaneses boxers leave the country because they're ranked very low. Filipinas on the other hand is the most prominent asian country in boxing (Pacquiao is some kind of national hero there)
