alotta people are still buying PS2s and im personally still enjoying some of the games coming out on it.

Ps2 is still selling, so don't stop.

Around 2012. The PS1 was on the market from 1994 to 2006, so 12 years should be good for the PS2 as well.

How does that make any sense? They're going to stop selling their most successful console ever, which still makes them profits, when they "admit the PS3 is a failure"? (it's not).

They need as much cash flow as possible so they will milk it as much as possible, I would.
Once the numbers really drag then they will call it quits. By then the PSP and PS3 will hopefully be bringing in higher numbers.

when it stops selling, which i think will be like in 2 years which is pretty amazing.

They need it to support the "10 year plan... or beyond" so, not anytime soon

My guess would be no earlier than 2013. That's just me....

I still have to buy a ps2, for the ultimate jrpgs.
