Lol, why would they discontinue the PS2 if they say that the PS3 is a failure?

I think Sony opened a factory in Brazil a while ago to make PS2s for the South American market. They'll probably be producing there for a few years.

As for the more established markets... I'd be surprised if they were still making PS2s in two years.
