Since when is twitter a reliable link? That's used for gossip and other stuff.

 

It wasn't just a random twitter account. The person who leaked the conduit numbers had a history of leaking accurate NPD numbers that were later confirmed by legitimate sites.

Which reviews are they talking about? Anyways, it seems more of PR talk than anything else.

 

This was said before that many bad reviews had surfaced, certainly before the European reviewers (imo) harshly reviewed it. Around that time it had a green Metascore as far as I remember. I'm still astounded how so many reviewers have been so harsh on the title. The visual effects (not to be confused with art style!) and multiplayer alone make any score below 7/10 an insult imo. It's certainly the best FPS game available for the Wii so far imo and doesn't deserve such a low Metascore.

I hope it sells truckloads. :)

They are happy from sales they had to stores.  We don't know what sellthrough ratio it has. If the price drops soon in next few weeks it will mean they anticipated lot more sales.

probably they expected much less because of the new IP, And deciced a very cautious route. So this may have surprised them to keep going the ads on other media

Its funny how people were downplaying the game from the start, and somehow expected monstrous sales (well they did not, they just say it to bash the Wii). Conduit will do fine for an average game, its not a blockbuster title nor its a critically acclaimed one so the sales wont be high.

According to that thread where preliminary data showed 150k for TC, MANY nintendo fans were expecting around there. This based on all the "hmmm just what i thought" and "lol nice i only expected 135k" and the like. Personally i made no prediction, I had no idea what to expect. It seems most people who did predict were way off anyway.
