in kendo half of the training you do is to figure out the stances. i dont think this game is going to teach you that

no online, this far into the generation, and by nintendo? please, dont fool yourself.  I see this as a pretty fair review, and nintendo should be ashamed of themselves.

A key difference between between this one and the IGN AU review, is that the US reviewer liked Swordplay a lot more.

Are you kidding? They're not reviewing for a hardcore audience because they penalize it for lack of online. They wouldn't be doing readers justice for not taking a feature that should already be mandatory in all multiplayer games.

And I imagine that Wii owners would have voted "didn't care at all" because the major games don't put a whole lot of effort into their online offerings.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they will be very ashamed after all the money they'll make with this game..... Wii Sports didn't had online and it's still played by many people from time to time. IGN and many other people want online, but the mayority of consumers don't care or prefer the local multiplayer. The important thing is that this game gives you a lot of replayability, online or not, so a 7.5 doesn't seem fair to me.

Because sales are not limited(well they are, but u know what I mean). Wii hardware is limited compared to HD consoles.

HD consoles vs wii is pretty even, so don't say stuff about not a big enough userbase. Multiplatform games still don't come close to some wii games unless it's cod:waw or gta4.

I want this game too but my wallet doesn't allow me to buy it :(
