@Matt247, There likely is none. This is most likely a volunteer position if you like VGChartz and want to help out. Then it's the kinda position for you. I doubt anyone gets paid here to do anything aside from the admins.

I like the sound of it but there are a lot of people here who could do a way better job than me.

To answer some questions posed in this thread

-We don't require you to be on the site 24/7, just that you can guarantee to make, say, 3 news articles per day (so, a couple hours are more than enough)
-Since you'll be mostly digging news, we don't care much about "console preference", just that if you stumble across something you consider worthy to be posted in the site, be it from whichever console it be, you'll post it

So you can go fishing in gaming sites and get the news from there, it just needs to be re-written in your own words?

@Zexen_lowe, Interesting. I thought the contributors were more console oriented. Another question I have is that many news articles come from magazines. If someone acquires this position would they get a subscription to certain magazines in order to search for news in them? Or would they have to pay out of their own pocket for something like that?

3 news articles a day?! Thats quite a lot I must say, especially if you manage to recruit 4-5 people, then youll get 14-15 articles a day at minimum. I guess thats where you guys want to go with this site.

That is good, I am only on 22/7. I can easily add 3 or 4 news stories a day

And zexen knows i work hard. I made $1000 vg in one week, and ran up my new wireless internet 40% (and btw that is why i stopped working in the database, I kept getting grounded xD )

Well, let's go for parts.

-@carl: You could go "fishing", and certainly we hope some articles are from that, specially the rumors and interviews. Though being on the team gives you access to A LOT of press releases, that you can also use as basis for news (good thing is, you can quote that verbatim)

-@Nightstriker: You're probably thinking more of reviewers. While we all certainly have our preferences here, we are all trying to be "console agnostic" in the news we post.
About the magazines, I guess you would. Though we don't get that many info from magazines, since basically if a magazine writes something, it'll be all over the internet in minutes. So don't worry about that

@EaglesEye: Yeah, we're working hard to make this site important, and we're focusing heavily on this feature

I think it would be run to be a writer for the site. But that's just me.

We want to have a pretty active news section, what we are looking is for a commitment form our new contributors, probably somedays you will be able to post 5 news, some days you will only find 1. What we want is to the new team to regularly post with quality and quantity.

And if for some reason they dont have enough time for life changes, just let us know to recruit a new member.
