Epic fail for Epic.

Epic dosen't like nintendo's philosophy. Thats it. They want to push polygons and nintendo's console dosen't deliever when it comes to that. They make shooters and frankly shooters need to have some of the best graphics to make them stand out in a very crowded market, without it your game just dosen't really get talked about.
Could they make money on the wii? Sure if they market it well enough and got some help from nintendo. They only way you will see an Epic game on the wii is if nintendo came to Epic and asked them to make a game. Nintendo would need to fund the game obviously because Epic is too chickenshit about the game bombing which is understandable considering shooters haven't done that well on the wii.
Anyway to my knowledge Epic has never made a game for a nintendo console and by the looks of it, there isn't going to be one the wii.
ps. Mark Rein needs to stop doing these interviews and he needs to find a way to get all the gears of war pc content on the 360. Making me pay full price for 4/5 of a game isn't cool.
You're just bitter GT.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

He definitely doesn't think the system is a good fit for his company but at no point did he say "Wii is last gen" or "Wii is crap". But nice try
I was happy to hear GoW for the PC is coming along nicely. I am looking forward to picking it up when it comes out and finally having a chance to really sit down with the game. Luckily I have an 8800 so I can really crank up the settings and play it like its meant to be played
.
@Sqrl, he may not have said those exact words but he implied it with every comment he made about the system.
I really see no chance in hell does Epic want to make games on the Wii. After I played Gears of War. I said Epic make another.

There are lots of things developers have implied over the last few months about each of the consoles. But around here people said their implications weren't any less based out of fanboy love than any troll on this website, it just means they are an employed fanboy.
Or at least thats what people said about devs who said the PS3 was difficult to code for or that the 360 was at its max, etc...
Point is this, lots of devs say lots of things, but the only thing worth paying attention to is release dates and delays. Because beyond that they are either trying to sell games or they are as woefully un-informed as the next guy.
Does Epic even have a Wii dev kit? At least with the 360 and PS3 comments the people talking trash had cracked open a dev kit for the console and had a chance to mess with it. Really you could at least require some semblance of legitimacy from a comment before you bash the Wii with it.
In any case I don't blame epic for their choice. They are sticking to what they know and they should because thats what makes them money. And so long as they release those games on the PC I am sure I will buy them.
Well, the Epic Games President Mark Rein seems to hate everyone these days.....Silicon Knights, Nintendo Wii.......what's next?
If he doesn't think the Wii platform is good for his company's image, then he must not know what a thing called "money" is.

1) Epic games are always know for their great visuals.
2) I prefer a company that makes games not for the money but for the gamers.
