Everyone is a strong word.

Traditional RPG's (JRPG) are a dying genre and I would be willing to bet next generation we will barely see any.

because Final Fantasy isn't the final one.

I'm sure he excluded the handhelds... don't worry... *pats Barozi on the back*

Not everyone does. They're fun, but they're not the be-all and end-all. Some of the best RPGs are truly wonderful, but as a body they are not superior to any other genre.

i dont know, it puzzles me too

Are you surprised that a video game website with charts and numbers attracts people who like RPG's??

Because we are all made up of mostly hardcore gamers... not many so called "casuals" will know about much less post on a gaming forum. RPGS are hardcore games and this is a hardcore site.

This is the general idea right here.

The type of person that would sit through an 80+ hour game is likely to also be the type of person that would go online and post about it.

CIHYFS?

Because Final Fantasy 6 will always remain in my heart as the single best game ever? Let's face it, alot of games love a good story, and the best stories are always found in RPGs. Always.

Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?

We will see tons. Just on the portables where artifact games as Malstrom calls them seem to congregrate. Because they are cheaper to develop such long expensive content filled games on portable systems.

IMO any one who thinks JRPG's are dying simply hasn't looked at the libraries of PSP and DS.

In repsonse to the Topic:

I think that the internet isn't the place where most people talk about games.  Only the really core lovers of niche games generally.  It is why you will hear so much love for them online but no necessarily in real life.  Remember the internet is not an mirror of the real world.  Mention Ico and most real people would think you are crazy on the internet you shall hear praises abound. Or mention the Wii series to the snobcore internet crowd and it's often scoffed at but in real life is much loved(It is the best selling game of all time).
