Brink is using Doom 3 engine?! That's weird, I thought those screens were concept art when I first saw them. They looked way too good to belong on either console.

Well, aren't those two particular pics of Brink in the OP concept art? To me they look like concept art, not screen shots.
(not that they look overly phenomenal)
^ no it has its own engine created solely for the game.

i agree with how this game looks compared to killzone 2 quality in graphics, but saying killzone 2 graphics havent been achieved until now is complete bs as far as i am concerned. gears of war 1 and 2 showcase that the 360 is on par with the ps3, given the right dev.
GAMERTAG IS ANIMEHEAVEN X23
PSN ID IS : ANIMEREALM
PROUD MEMBER OF THE RPG FAN CLUB THREAD
ALL-TIME FAVORITE JRPG IS : LOST ODYSSEY

So uh... who care? I don't get the point in this thread. You say that the 360 can do a Killzone type of game (and I think the killzone brand is Sony's copyright). So, what if the PS3 also just did renderings of what's on screen, and nothing from behind. Wouldn't that seriously outmax everything on the 360?
Remember, all those high quality 3D elements take up more memory on that HDDVD disc. So, I wouldn't expect to get much replay from this game. And, I'd never buy a 2 disc game for 360, or any system.. It's too far into the future for that.
But, anyway. Who cares? Just play what you want. Personally, I will not but a FPS ever.. Except maybe one.. when i figure out what it is. MGS4 is all I need. I'm sick of all the 50 million shooters out there. Sometimes I just wish Halo had been a fighter, or an action/adventure. That IS the root of all FPS anyway.
Before Halo, there was just an average amount of shooters, something you can deal with... But, now it's just too much. I hate when people make threads like this.. They're just bummed because:
A. They want a PS3 but can't afford one
B. There is no game not possible for PS3, but 360.
| libellule said: wait, just a poor claim from hiphopgamer ??? so KZ2 still superior technically to any 360 games |
And Gears of War 2 is "Technically" better than KZ2...It just depends on what you count as technicallities
| Taz! said: How can people say how Alan Wake looked awesome yet say they are dissapointed with Heavy Rain? Did you see the Alan Wake E3 footage? It was like Res Evil 5 graphics, great but not what people are making it out to be |
WOW!
Just Don't "Jump In"...No need to ruin this site for us Xbox 360 gamers...

Id like to know what games are coming out on the 360 that look better than Killzone 2, im still waiting for something that looks better than the first Uncharted and is technically more impressive than the first Uncharted. |
At this point it's not delivering what can top the Fan aclaimed PS3 exclusive tittles....The sales of 360 games vs the PS3 games should prove that even if the PS3 Exclusive games have moar quality, not only are PS3 owners not caring much...But the rest of the gaming market is not ethier...
Xbox 360 does not need to Beat KZ2 Graphics....Gears Of War 2 sold moar in it's first month than both Uncharted and KZ2 did in it's first 3 months combined...And is played on average way moar than KZ2 is....And People have to pay to play Gears....
When it comes to Multiplayer exclusives the Xbox 360 has no competition when pitted against the PS3....
2 years from now KZ2 can still have the best Graphics and I bet it will never have the same amount of hours played as Rainbow Six Vegas on Xbox 360....

Gears of War, Halo and Call of Duty are great sellers because of online multiplayer not because of graphics. I rather play Uno online than Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

| Taz! said: @ RAZ You fail. Heavy Rain is better looking than RE5, period |
In part the heavy Rain videos go up and down....
I was very shocked to see the lack of details in the scene where that big black guy is beating the little white guy around..Really..The white guy is wearing a black blazer...Which is not buttoned...it seems to be stapled to his body and even when he is thrown around there is no motion in the jacket and never mind his tie.......In the Night Club the girls skirt again in stapled to her legs....
Here is the example...The video quality is unimportant since the clothes wont move anyway..If Heavy Rain is to be considered a Graphics King...It should do clothing anitmation before it releases...
Here is Alan Wake from E3 09.....If the eviroments dont look Just as good a Heavy Rain and the Clothing animation of the Hoodie and the Jacket don't put the Xbox Graphics capability on par with Heavy Rain...Then I'm going to put my Sh*t Colored Glasses back on(IMO ofcourse I think Alan Wake is way better looking than Heavy rain...But that's nethier here nor there.)
Gona post it after this...The Browser is messing with me
