Forums - Microsoft - Killzone 2 Quality/Graphics is possible on the X360!!

Killzone 2 best graphics ever seen in a console game. No game at E3 09 looked even close to matching it.

LOL. This is a joke...right?

Considering the 360 and PS3 are coming out with better looking games then Killzone 2, I'd have to say no.  Have your fanboy goggles been too tight?

Id like to know what games are coming out on the 360 that look better than Killzone 2, im still waiting for something that looks better than the first Uncharted and is technically more impressive than the first Uncharted.

At this point it's not delivering what can top the Fan aclaimed PS3 exclusive tittles....The sales of 360 games vs the PS3 games should prove that even if the PS3 Exclusive games have moar quality, not only are PS3 owners not caring much...But the rest of the gaming market is not ethier...

Xbox 360 does not need to Beat KZ2 Graphics....Gears Of War 2 sold moar in it's first month than both Uncharted and KZ2 did in it's first 3 months combined...And is played on average way moar than KZ2 is....And People have to pay to play Gears....

When it comes to Multiplayer exclusives the Xbox 360 has no competition when pitted against the PS3....

2 years from now KZ2 can still have the best Graphics and I bet it will never have the same amount of hours played as Rainbow Six Vegas on Xbox 360....

Gears of War, Halo and Call of Duty are great sellers because of online multiplayer not because of graphics. I rather play Uno online than Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

And while you're on the subject, sales =/= quality anyway.

I was not trying to say that Sales affected the quality....All I wanted to point out is that the quality in KZ2 has not helped it sell outside of it's fanbase....which about 800k or so on PS2...While it has grown it has not grown much....KZ3 should grow some more but again...a Fan's opinion of quality can only be held as conclusive by the number of Fans that agree with that person(Meaing the Numbers of Sales)..>So if you go by Opinion of users..Gears of War 2 has more quality than Uncharted and Kz2 combined...If Industry reports and creditted reviews say that one has more quality than the other..Then to an extent it could be held as fact

You fail. Heavy Rain is better looking than RE5, period

In part the heavy Rain videos go up and down....

I was very shocked to see the lack of details in the scene where that big black guy is beating the little white guy around..Really..The white guy is wearing a black blazer...Which is not buttoned...it seems to be stapled to his body and even when he is thrown around there is no motion in the jacket and never mind his tie.......In the Night Club the girls skirt again in stapled to her legs....

Here is the example...The video quality is unimportant since the clothes wont move anyway..If Heavy Rain is to be considered a Graphics King...It should clothing anitmation before it releases...

Here is Alan Wake from E3 09.....If the eviroments dont look Just as good a Heavy Rain and the Clothing animation of the Hoodie and the Jacket don't put the Xbox Graphics capability on par with Heavy Rain...Then I'm going to put my Sh*t Colored Glasses back on(IMO ofcourse I think Alan Wake is way better looking than Heavy rain...But that's nethier here nor there.)

1. no pic.

2. I agree that there are parts of Alan Wake that exceed HEAVY RAIN, such as lighting and shadows. The scene in HEAVY RAIN with the FBI agent needs a tad more polish. Character models still look better in HEAVY RAIN though, but since Alan Wake has been my 2nd most anticipated game since June 2006, I won't knock it again.

There is the official E3 2009 trailer on PSN that really shows how HEAVY RAIN is shaping up, and it looks great. The Lagoon scene in particular looks really good too, it's just that FBI scene which needs a tad bit of work.

With the amount of polish Quantic Dream is known to add to their games, I expect the final product won't disappoint. It just annoys me when people who probably don't own, nor seem like they plan to own, a PS3 ALWAYS have something negative to say about it. It just let's me know where people's motives seem to be headed.

I posted the Alan Wake Vid after wards...Something about the VGC 2.0 made my browser funny...

Againg CGI......The lack of Clothing Animation in Heavy Rain is Crazy....the years of Dev time don't add up......

In Alan wake E3 2009 vid..When he steps out the house the ground is lower then the house...So when he steps out his hoodie shakes a bit...That is very realistic and his clothing in general have very good animation during gameplay....

My only problem with Heavy Rain right now is it's lack of Clothing animation......And yes I agree Alan Wake does Exceed Heavy Rain..Though unlike you I feel it goes farther than Lighting and Shadows but that's just my opinion

Demographic are different on each console. The kinds of games that sell big on Xbox have never been what sold big #s on Playstation. How many shooters sold huge #s on PS2 or PS1? Like I said, quality doesn't prove sales, it's all in opinion anyway. I thought Gears of War 1 was VASTLY superior to it's sequel, but won't deny that Gears 2 is a quality title. This proves nothing though, except that people's tastes, and consoles' demographics, are different.

Contrary to what some believe, the PS3 and 360 DON'T share the exact same users.

Call of Duty

SOCOM

Medal Of Honor

Gran theft Auto (though less of a shooter than the others)

No the PS3 does not have the same users as the Xbox 360...

In reference to the PS3 comment, I wasn't referring to you my friend. Sorry for the miscom.

To your point about cloth physics, fair enough. I agree that it should be there, but the game's not finished bro. Perhaps it'll be a last minute addition

It's true it is not finished...But for Heavy Rain's sake I hope it gets implemented......If not....Alan Wake beats it with a year of Dev time still left for it...

Seriously?

Alan Wake, Forza 3, Lost Planet 2 and Splinter Cell all look better than KZ2 to ALOT of forum goers. So this is not really new news to me. But glad to hear Brink will look great if not the best.

Out of them 4 games you mensioned, only Alan Wake has a chance to look better then KZ2...

and FORZA 3 definitely , Carl

@eliasg.

How so?
