For me, it's Oblivion.......easily.
I know it's an RPG and all, but It's the game in which I did most adventuring, and it was fantastic

This is the perfect truth. Playing Oblivion truly was an adventure in every sense of the word.

I love that game so damn much.

Oblivion was awful for exploration, it had the most sterile and empty openworld I've ever played in a game.

I'd say you (and many others, unfortunately) don't get it. Oblivion had huge land mass. A true open world game musn't be filled with stuff around every corner, that just feels artificial. Of course it all depends on the setting. A big city game like GTA naturally should be more dense with stuff than RPGs that take place in green landscapes.

I love the exploration in Oblivion. The scale, balance and density between locations, encounters and stuff to do is almost perfect.

Honestly.  What makes this game so good??  I hear so many people raving about it, but i've never played it before....nor do i have a PS2 anymore to play it on.

I love Oblivion, too, but unfortunately, we're in a minority

I would put Oblivion truly in the RPG category, though. And I would still put Shadow above it.

If you've never played it, you will never understand. It's not something we can describe in words.

I would say it's worth getting a PS2 again just to play it (and all the other PS2 games you no doubt have).

Again, do you have a quote to where the Sony leader submitted this article?

oh wait I get it you're saying you are the Sony leader which isn't true at all.

Dont worry son I will find you a place within the Sony Cabinet

I don't believe the coffee and doughnut tea and scones boy is allowed to choose Cabinet members

Nice choice, but for me it's Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess.

I'll have to look into it when i get a job.  I also never really had too many PS2 games (just NFS's, GOW's, GT's, GH's, and a few other titles)  but i sold them when i sold my PS2.  And alas i also had to recently sell most of my 360 games...check out my game collection, I'm down to bare bones

You must not play a lot of games.

By the contrary, I'm just accustomed to a higher standard of games.

If you're playing games that are a higher standard than Oblivion please give me some suggestions.

I just think you've played plenty of games with an even more "sterile and empty openworld." Shadow of the Colossus is a fine example.

I highly doubt Gilgamesh submitted this article - he wouldn't endorse a game as sony leader that might alienate some of his followers, it seems to me that this MegaMan.2 is trying to usurper the role of Sony leader by simply saying he is so, is that a banable offense? if not it should be because it's starting to get annoying.

PS. Shadow of Colossus is an amazing game but imo is no where near the best in the genre, it might be your favorite and that is fine but unfortunately for you (and fortunately for most everyone) you don't get to pick the best game in a genre or in anything.

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

Best adventure game ever has to be Slam City with Scottie Pippen. Truly a work of art.
