They advertise this more than they did the PS3 when it launched on tv, and im not kidding.

I saw commercials for it. They depicted it as a WoW rip-off, IMO.

Currently, World of Warcraft has ~11 million PAYING UU's a month, which is totally different from 3m non-paying UUs for FR.

However, my point of 'Free Realms blowing World of Warcraft out of the water' doesn't have anything to do with LTD user bases, but with how fast they obtained said bases. FR hit the million mark about 3-4 times faster than World of Warcraft did, which is very impressive, given the fact that in the post-WoW world, very few MMO's have had that kind of initial traction...Even Conan was under 500k after it's first month, and had a massive marketing budget.

Name one other free gaming website that claims to of garnered 3 million UU's in just over a month. That, my friend, is why it's impressive.

And speaking as the business analyst for a competing site of similar depth (browser based gaming site), 3 million IS VERY impressive.

regardless of it being free or not. It's still around 3 million people who has the interest in it to try it out. Thats a big number nomatter how you look at it.
