It'll probably release in 2010, and I'm not buying it unless they make it more original, improve the graphics, add something resembling a story, make it longer, improve the shooting, and make it more fun to play.

Otherwise, my support for Insomniac will only be buying every Ratchet game.

Thats a good point, but if Halo releases first, or too close to R3 there might be some who'd "Jump In" and get a x360 and new Halo, and then just not bother with R3.

I don't think it will work the other way around. Halo is just bigger than Resistance, period. There's no way to deny that (I don't think), no matter how much better I think R3 might be than the new Halo.

Of course there are some who'll get both, and some who'll just get R3, but Halo's influence is massive.

Although I really shouldn't bring this up in this thread, it's similar to what GT5 would do to Forza3, no matter how good Forza 3 is. If the release times are too close, GT5 will anihilate it.

I really hope they go in another direction because there is just way too much competition in the shooter market.

They should attempt an RPG space game. A dev that talented should really exist to diversify the available genre's that the PS3 has to offer.

I loved Resistance, never bought the 2nd but played a friends and I was expecting such great things for 2, but wow... it just seemed really lame and uninspired to me.

And I also think Killzone was much better in a lot of ways than R2.

I love insominiac and the idea of Resistance, but please wait a few more years till 2012 at the earliest.

Given Insomniac's track record it's very likely. I love the RESISTANCE universe and will definately buy R3. Nathan will be a huge part of the storty, I just hope they give us an epic conclusion and get rid of one clip/kill in competetive.

Well i own R1 & R2 and enjoyed them (R1 was alot better tho), so i think im oblige to get R3. Plus i dont like to have an unfinished collection.

I just ask that they bring back the same 2player co-op in campaign they had in the first one to R3 because that's probably the best feature a FPG game can have IMO.
