It never was my favorite game of all... but even so it was amazing, its still is but to say about any game that its the best of all is just nonsense ;)

MGS4? Are ppl serious? Yes OoT is still that game.

I think OOT deserves it not only for the sheer amount of perfect reviews it got, but for what it brought to the table. Z Targeting is the perfect example. How many games since OOT have gone on to use that setup?

It's as cliché to say as anything else, but mario bros. 3 has been the greatest game of all time for 2 decades.

Here's why:
The level select and save feature that were big at the time and still utilized today.
Pick up and play game play that ANYONE can enjoy but only those who dedicate time to can complete. (Can't be said about OoT).
It takes hours to complete.
Great graphics the are still easy on the eyes. (OoT looks good but is still a 2nd gen 64 game).
Great soundtrack.

MGS4 isn't even the greatest game in its series, how can it be the greatest game of all time?

There is the final vote poll going on at gamefaqs right now for best game ever 2009. OoT is beating out FF7 right now.  Oh and MGS4 got beat out by FFX and OoT in the semifinals.

No and it never was. the Game Boy version of Tetris is the best game ever made.
