Mistakes: #1. $250........remember E3 2006 & $599.....the price that turned this generation on its head. Well who the hell do they think is going buy a PSP GO! (which mind you I feel is a downgrade) for $250. 250 sucks and i hate it but sony is going to be profitable because every system sold is a profit as this is a cheaper system for them to make. Sony gets money we dont. But theres STILL a 169.99 psp that is still out so if u dont want to pay for it dont buy it. #2. DD Only.......right the i-phone worked due to apple's great experience with software that is DD & so on. SONY do not have such an experience & they are not as good as apple in the field. 16GB.....how many games will fit into that? 10 at maximum right? My UMD case at home can store 30 games in it! 1st off where have yu been? Sony has had Download services for a while now that works perfect its called the PSN and when i download from it (every thursday) it works fine and this is what they will be using the PSN. 2nd it comes with a 16 gig INTERNAL drive. thats what ships withi t and if you read anything on it or saw e3 they said you can upgrade it. so space is not an issue as you can by more memory cards. #3. Games.........MGS:PW.....well I'm sure its going to be enjoyable, but its not really a system seller, surely people who loved MGS got a PSP for MGS:PO & MGS:Ac!d i loved MGS and it sold a lot. but i dont see how games will be the issue when sony said EVERY game will be playable on PSP Go which means we can mab download the games we own (has not been announced yet but they hinted towards it) #4. Consumer Base......SONY said they did research, but who did they ask. PSP's BIG gaming group is among the teens, the teens (14 - 18), many of them think DS is Kiddy.....how are they going justify PSP GO! when they have no credit cards (PSN cards better be coming). these are the same kids who own ps3 and ipods and i tunes is a huge win for apple and PSN makes money for sony. On the other hand the good things SONY did: #1. GT:Portable......that will kick start momentum.....but I would just buy a PSP 3000 & GTP on that.....why would I buy a PSP GO! for GT:P Thats just my point you dont HAVE to buy a psp go if you dont want to get a 3000 which will still be sold at a lower price. ___________________________ They don't know who they are selling PSP GO! to, it will not be a success at all imo. People aren't ready for a DD only gaming system. I see it bombing in sales.......<5 Million LTD for the console Even if it does sell 5 million thats pure profit.. you can NOT tell me it takes more then $250 to make a 5 year old system thats 50% smaller and 40% thinner and has no UMD slot that cost god knows what to mass produce in every PSP 3000. I am pretty sure sony makes a profit on each PSP 3000 sold so psp go has to be FAR cheaper to make with a higher price... thats pretty smart if you ps3 is eating money and ps2 is failing to recoup the costs. Add in your own points or refute my points...atleast give a good explanation........I just see the PSP GO! being a waste of R & D budget! & OFCOURSE give your SALES predictions now that you see the shortcomings EDIT: one last thing SONY said it was for the "High end user".....jeez SONY, you tried to make PS3 for the high end user in 2007.....where did that get you.....CHANGE PLEASE! |

can't you come up something better than this analogy?
what's wrong with those patients talking about their retirement plan?

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

pspgo is the reason I'm getting a psp, wtf?
For a portable, I agree that DD is the future.

Doesn't change the fact that, thus far, the PS3 has been a financial disaster. |

It's too expensive for a handheld. Superbomb. I'll buy one when they knock off 100 dollars.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.

PS3 FTW!
They should have just called it the PSP2 or something instead of a PSP spinoff with no UMD drive.
So they're expecting people to pay $250 for a PSP Go, and if the person already has a collection of UMD games they'll be useless.
I think it is sexy. I'm buying one. I like having all my games on the PSN. Plus I an back them up on my PC.
