Forza 2 could only do 4 million heavily bundled in America. No way Forza 3 does 5 million without bundling.

GT5p first week sales were nearly double of Forza2.

640K vs 350k

PS3 was at 11m give or take, 360 was at around 10m.

Forza 2 sold almost 4mln GT5p sold 3mln

So what fanboy booze are you drinking to think Forza3 is capable of numbers anywhere near a full GT game, when its opening sales it gets its ass beat by Prologue ?





looks like ps3 fanboys are in denial bacause there is a strong chance that Forza 3 will do better than their beloved psx title with improved graphics. well it will be better gameplay wise and probably in graphics department as well(or equally good) and still will be released years bofore their game.

If all GT5 will be is Gran Turismo 1 with improved graphics...what will Forza 3 be? Well I'd guess Forza 1 with improved graphics.

 

Seriously though GT5 is a HUGE improvement over GT4. Besides the obvious things being graphics and framerate, its adding new modes like NASCAR and there was some other new mode they showed. Also there will most likely be damage. The best racing franchise in the world just got better. The Forza producers should just be happy with second place.

People saying Forza 3 will sell better than Forza 2 because of install base... I gladly point you in the direction of Gears and Gears 2.

Well no duh. Gears was a new unproven IP with not a lot of hype. What sold it was word of mouth and advertisment.

Then what about Halo, that sold FASTER on the 360 than Halo 2 did on the XBOX which had a higher userbase.

I also think that Forza 3 will have good casual pulling power given the graphics
