Releasing all those gamea at one time would be suicide and doubt even Sony would be stupid enough to release all those games at once. One of the big two will release this year ala GT5 or GOW III with my guess being the former.

As you said a slim and FFXIII would take care of Japan and GT5 EU. The 30% increase in PS3 sales shows that Sony are going to do something drastic and the PS3 slim is my bet at $300-350. NA is a lost cause for Song being perfectly honest however Sony will want to do something there due to how big gaming is there.

GT5 is not big in NA anymore...well not in terms of what it used to be. The series is getting bigger and bigger in EU though so a £200 PS3 or a PS3 + GT5 bundle for £250 will basically top anything MS could do.......anything. :O

I am pretty sure Sony is that stupid. Last year they released Resistance 2 on the same day as World at War, about 1 week after LBP and 1 week after MotorStorm, which were the main 3 games last year. This year, there has been a better spread with inFamous and Killzone 2 coming earlier in the year (we are only looking at 1st & 2nd party games here) but I am pretty certain we are going to see Uncharted, Heavy Rain, Ratchet and MAG all released within 4 weeks of each other in NA/PAL. In Japan, I think they would be wise to put some other games near Final Fantasy XIII, it will boost the sales of other games, but it is probably not best to put Gran Turismo on the same day, I don't think that will be out until January anyway

Great sales :D Yeah, its bundled but still :D IMO GT5 will probably do ~ 500k first week in Japan and has a shot to pass one million, especially if it will be bundled ;)

GT5 and FF13 aren't a direct competitors. The release of this FF13 is winter could be Dec. 25. As for GT 5 if it's also slated for a winter release. This two will sell great even if they are release so close to each other. IMO

OT: Wow! at sales and this is just the Prologue. Imagine what the complete game will do.

The bundle was released in the week ending november 8th. Before that, the game was at 265k, and it sold 271 units that week. So almost 400k of the game's sales were bundled (not 450k like I said earlier).
